Job summary

Doyon Limited in Alaska seeks an experienced pipeline operations technician to assist in performing maintenance, inspections, and related duties on crude pipeline systems at Town & North Slope sites.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, knowledge of valves, meters, and corrosion protection, with a 24/7 readiness and strong teamwork. Candidates should have a degree or certificate in Process Tech or engineering, and be able to work outdoors in challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Process Technology, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of pipeline operator or technician experience.
• Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Must pass DOT, Haz-Mat training, and meet operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support pipeline operations, maintenance, inspections, and related duties.
• Monitor and address pipeline conditions to prevent incidents.
• Operate valves, meters, and related equipment.
• Assist in line locating and ROW inspections.
• Maintain records and reports for compliance.
• Be available 24/7 for emergency response.
