Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Pipeline Maintenance Technician I in Pontiac, IL. You will help protect the environment, support reliable pipeline operation, and contribute to community safety by performing maintenance, repairs, and emergency response activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of operations or maintenance experience in a crude oil pipeline, tank farm, industrial facility, or related environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn operational, maintenance, and repair processes.
  • Team-oriented with the commitment to safety, integrity, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required operator qualifications and safety training.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection equipment, including SCBA and full-face respirators.
  • Must be able to reside within 25 miles of the reporting location.

Responsibilities

  • Support the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of pipeline and facility equipment while adhering to all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform pipeline maintenance, repairs, emergency response activities, and pigging operations to support the safe and reliable operation of pipeline systems.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain specialized PLM tools, equipment, vehicles, trailers, and emergency response resources.
  • Complete required training and maintain operator qualifications to safely perform work independently and support less experienced team members when needed.
  • Support Operations, Maintenance, and other work groups while issuing work permits and overseeing contract work activities as required.
  • Respond to leaks, spills, and abnormal right-of-way conditions by supporting containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions.
  • Uphold all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while participating in rotating on-call responsibilities.
  • Complete work orders, timesheets, driver logs, expense reports, and other documentation accurately and on time.
