Job summary

Vylor, Inc. is seeking a Phenotyping Specialist in Lubbock, TX to support field research across corn, sorghum, and cotton programs with safety at the forefront. You will help ensure data quality and coordinate with teams to meet timelines.

The role involves multi-crop field activities, data collection via manual and remote sensing methods, and leadership in safety culture while working with temporary staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or related field.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database systems.
• Ability to independently solve problems by asking the right questions and identifying key data sources.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and travel overnight seasonally.

Responsibilities

• Support next-generation phenotyping efforts with improved methods and tech.
• Ensure data accuracy through validation and quality checks.
• Communicate with local and cross-location teams to meet timelines and data quality.
