Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a Field Pharmacy Technician to cover the Atlanta area, with a focus on nursing facility restocks and ADS management. You will work under supervision to ensure accurate dispensing, reporting, and timely communication with facilities and pharmacy staff.

The ideal candidate is a Georgia-licensed pharmacy technician with prior long-term care experience, proficient in Pyxis/Omnicell, and capable of lifting light loads while driving regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be local to Sandy Springs, GA area.
• Licensed Georgia Pharmacy Technician.
• One year of pharmacy experience; long-term care preferred.
• Experience with Pyxis or Omnicell and data entry.
• Able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
• Good organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Basic math and analytical abilities.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willing to drive long distances within Georgia.
• Able to lift light loads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medication restocks directly to skilled nursing home facilities.
• Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff.
• Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter).
• Maintain accurate information at each ADS (quantity and expiration date).
• Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing.
• Replace potentially expiring inventory.
• Restock depleted inventory.
• Monthly audits (cycle count).
• Provide reports for the facility.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.

NOTICE: SpecialtyRx is seeking Field Pharmacy Technician located in the surrounding areas of Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and Data Entry preferred.
• Able to use various programs and applications efficiently and able to troubleshoot ADS problems.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.
• A valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Willing to drive long distances in the State of Georgia.

Shift

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Mileage Reimbursement

• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between facilities.
