Job summary

Intertek Caleb Brett in Saint Rose, Louisiana, seeks a Petroleum Inspector to perform volume measurements, sampling, and reporting for independent quality assessments. 75% travel is required; the role is on-site with rotating 12-hour shifts (2-2-3).

Qualifications

• Must have basic grasp of basic mathematics and work in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
• Must have (or applied for) a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
• Sampling, gauging and inventory of shore tanks, barges, and tankers.
• Perform routine equipment calibration, verification and function checks.
• Organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered along with reports and samples being submitted in a timely manner.
• Maintain work areas and ensure gauging and sampling equipment is kept in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
• Verify and communicate the results obtained and to make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.
