Job summary

NCE | Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a civil engineering–oriented professional to join its Asset Management group in Anaheim. The role involves field and office work focused on pavement and asset data collection, condition surveys, and reporting for public agencies.

You will perform field inspections, handle data in management databases, and support GIS mapping and asset inventories. Travel within Southern California and learning new software are integral parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 0 to 2 years of engineering/field inspection experience.
• Comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and asset management databases.
• Ability to write clear, well-organized technical summaries and reports.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and inspection methodologies.
• Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of pavement and assets.
• Spend 30–50% of time on field work.
• Travel regularly to project sites in Orange County.
• Collect, upload, review, and QC field data.
• Enter and manage data in asset management databases.
• Assist with GIS mapping and asset inventories.
• Support reports, maps, and pavement condition scenarios.
• Learn pavement and asset management software.
• Maintain safety and follow procedures.
