Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist (FST) for Navy ELMR, based on-site in Sicily. You will patch and maintain the ASTRO system, manage Windows and RHEL servers, and support enterprise sustainment activities across multiple sites. Travel up to 25% and DoD clearance are required.

Ideal candidates have strong IT administration, virtualization, and security skills, with 4+ years in related roles and willingness to obtain required certifications within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience per Italy SOFA requirements.
• Experience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration.
• Must be able to obtain Security+ or IAT Level II within 6 months.
• Must obtain ETA CETa certification within 6 months.
• Experience with Windows and RHEL, Active Directory administration.
• Hands-on virtualization experience (VMware/KVM) and server hardware.
• Familiarity with network tools (PuTTY, WinSCP, RDP).
• Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Implement system and security patch updates for ASTRO system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot patching issues in enterprise environment.
• Maintain clear verbal and written communication.
• Assist Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams with daily maintenance across sites.
• Travel up to 25% annually for maintenance and regional patching.
• Obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (SOFA).
