Job summary

Anne Arundel County is seeking a full-time County Contractual staff member for the Behavioral Health program. The role focuses on coordinating an outreach network, expanding AA POWER services, and providing training to community members involved in harm reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
• Experience: Minimum two years of recovery from a substance use or co-occurring disorder; knowledge of tertiary prevention, harm reduction, social services, and health resources; experience working with marginalized communities; familiarity with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Drive; strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expand Anne Arundel Power (AA POWER) harm reduction outreach program, including risk reduction education and referrals.
• Conduct direct street outreach, track outreach data, and organize inventory of supplies.
• Travel to locations across Anne Arundel County for meetings and program activities; work outside traditional office settings.
