Job summary

United Way of Greenville County is seeking a Street Outreach Program Lead to coordinate Greenville Together’s Crisis Response Outreach in the downtown area. This field-based role combines leadership with frontline engagement to move individuals from the streets into stable housing.

The position requires 3+ years in homeless services and 2+ years in supervision, with strong trauma-informed care, crisis de-escalation, and HMIS data experience. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field; or comparable experience.
• 3+ years of experience in homeless services, outreach, housing navigation, behavioral health, or crisis response.
• 2+ years of supervisory, team lead, or program management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coach 2–3 Crisis Response Outreach Specialists while in the field.
• Provide day-to-day direction and problem-solving support during engagement, crisis response, and housing navigation activities.
• Coordinate daily deployment plans with evenings and weekends coverage.
• Maintain trauma-informed engagement, safety, and compassion in team culture.
• Generate monthly and quarterly program reports tracking progress and outcomes.
