Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Field Operator – Artificial Lift to join our Bryan, TX team. The role involves hands-on operation of Weatherford equipment, adherence to procedures, and active participation in safety and field meetings.

The successful candidate will inspect, maintain and operate mechanical, electronic and hydraulic systems, perform rig up/down tasks, and support site operations. 1–2½ years in oil & gas, a high school diploma, and ability to relocate or commute are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2½ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Ability to relocate within commuting distance of Bryan, TX or to relocate at own expense.
• Performs maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.
• Strong critical thinking, active learning, and listening skills.
• Good reading and writing skills with sound judgment and decision-making.
• Effective time management and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Capability to meet physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties according to Weatherford policies and SOPs.
• Participates in daily operations, safety meetings, and JHA processes.
• Maintains equipment, facilities and work areas in safe condition.
• Follows documentation and technical work instructions at applicable training level.
• Performs functional tests, inspections and monitoring of equipment.
• Inspects used parts to check dimensional changes with measuring tools.
• Rigs up/down equipment per work instructions and training level.
• Cleans, lubricates, repairs and operates equipment per training.
• Services and maintains mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components.
• Drives pickups, trucks and truck-mounted units to well sites and maintains driving record.
• In senior roles, leads other field operators and mentors teammates.
• Senior roles may lead workshop scheduling and quality assessments.
• Performs other duties safely as assigned by supervisor.
