Job description

Axionova Engineering Limited is seeking a reliable and skilled Field Operator to join our team and play a critical role in the on-site management and operation of equipment, systems, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, the ability to adapt to diverse work environments, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves hands-on work across multiple field sites, collaborating with our engineering team to ensure optimal operations and address field challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Field Operations: Operate, monitor, and adjust equipment and machinery on-site to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations.
  2. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on equipment. Diagnose and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational integrity.
  3. Data Collection and Reporting: Accurately record operational data, including production metrics, system performance, and maintenance activities. Compile daily and weekly reports to inform decision-making and project assessments.
  4. Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, conduct safety inspections, and promptly address any safety hazards. Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
  5. Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with engineers and supervisors to implement changes or improvements in field operations. Communicate findings and feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Environmental and Operational Standards: Monitor environmental conditions and ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with environmental standards. Respond promptly to potential environmental issues.
  7. Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to any on-site emergencies. Follow emergency protocols to ensure site and team safety and assist in incident reporting.
  8. Inventory and Supplies Management: Maintain on-site inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies. Coordinate with procurement to ensure necessary resources are available for uninterrupted field operations.
  9. Training and Mentorship: Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new team members and junior field operators, fostering a supportive and safety-conscious work environment.

Requirements

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of years of field operations experience in industrial, oil and gas, or engineering settings is preferred.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting field equipment, with knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals, equipment schematics, and process documentation. Experience with data collection, performance reporting, and safety protocols.
  4. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to extreme weather, loud noise, and industrial settings. Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects when needed.
  5. Skills: Problem-solving, clear communication, attention to detail, teamwork, collaboration, and safety orientation.
