Job summary

Allan Myers is looking for a hard-working Field Operations Trainee (Skillbridge) who is eager to learn about the heavy civil construction industry. This Trainee will be responsible for assisting the Crew Leader in the management of a crew, conducting morning safety huddles, and effectively communicating with their team members.

This position is designed to prepare the Trainee for a Field Manager role within a 1-2 year time period.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience managing a team; proven leadership.
• Experience in heavy/civil construction preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment and general construction preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices within construction; preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects over 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Leader in managing the crew and safety.
• Conduct morning safety huddles.
• Procure materials and equipment.
• Ensure safe work environment.
• Communicate with team; lead safety meetings.
• Report incidents to Superintendent and HSE.
