Field Operations Team Lead (Construction Technology)

Pay: $40.00/hour

Job Type: Full-Time | 1-Year Contract

Lead Field Operations for Innovative Construction Technology Projects

We're seeking an experienced Field Operations Team Lead to oversee field technicians and support data collection projects across active construction sites. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines fieldwork with team coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys leading people while remaining actively involved in daily operations.

You'll help ensure projects stay on schedule, technicians are supported, equipment is managed, and high-quality work is consistently delivered.

What You'll Do
  • Field Operations
  • Perform field data collection at assigned construction sites
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Travel to project sites as needed to provide coverage and operational support
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks before they impact operations
Team Leadership
  • Coordinate schedules for field technicians
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational guidance
  • Support onboarding and training for new team members
  • Assist with staffing needs and workforce planning
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and accountability
Operations Support
  • Manage field equipment and inventory
  • Coordinate system access, credentials, and operational resources
  • Maintain onboarding documentation and training materials
  • Support timekeeping and payroll accuracy
  • Monitor technician performance and provide ongoing feedback
Quality & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements on construction sites
  • Maintain high standards for data quality and operational excellence
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, site personnel, and internal teams
Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading field teams, construction crews, or technical operations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects or employees simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in construction, field services, logistics, operations, or related industries preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile technology
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when needed
