BurnBot in Redding, CA is seeking Field Operations Specialists to join our wildfire fuel reduction crews. This hands-on role is outdoors, physically demanding, and involves operating chainsaws and hand tools to cut, limb, and clear vegetation.

You’ll travel along the West Coast, with a base hourly pay of $24–$32, and schedules may vary. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required, along with field experience in vegetation management or related work.

Qualifications

• More than one year of experience operating and maintaining a chainsaw.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to resolve issues using personal knowledge and know when to seek assistance.
• Excellent customer service with a service mindset.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable with outdoor labor in varying conditions.
• Willingness to travel 5+ days along the west coast, up to 75% of the time.
• Passion for Burnbot’s mission.
• Experience in vegetation management, tree work, or hazardous fuels mitigation.

Responsabilités

• Operate chainsaws and hand tools to remove vegetation.
• Limb, buck, drag and pile brush and small trees.
• Support fire mitigation and land management projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe worksite and follow field safety protocols.
• Travel to job sites, often in remote or rugged locations.
• Comply with all regulations, safety or otherwise.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and clean at all times.
• Perform minor repairs on tools, equipment and vehicles as needed.
• Assess site, terrain and weather conditions for safety.
• Execute tasks with or without guidance in a fast-changing environment.
• Learn, ask questions and take on new responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
