Job summary

TRAXyL, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical & Field Operations Engineer to support design, development, testing, and deployment of our installation equipment.

The role blends mechanical design and field work, with travel to project sites to operate and install equipment in the field. The ideal candidate will design and prototype equipment in SolidWorks, create drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to drive product improvements while supporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with tools, machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical equipment and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create engineering drawings, documentation, and bills of materials.
• Build, test, troubleshoot, and refine prototypes.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and equipment maintenance activities.
• Operate TRAXyL equipment during customer installations and field deployments.
• Conduct equipment testing, inspections, and quality evaluations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in both shop and field environments.
• Document findings and recommend product improvements.
• Train and support customers and field crews as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams to continuously improve products and processes.
