Job summary

TRAXyL is seeking a hands-on Mechanical & Field Operations Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy equipment used in last-mile installations. The role blends mechanical design, prototyping, field operations, and customer deployments, including traveling to project sites to operate, test, and install equipment in the field.

The ideal candidate will work with SolidWorks for design and documentation, support field deployments, and help improve our equipment through testing and hands-on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, machine design, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with testing, field deployments, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve mechanical equipment and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create engineering drawings, documentation, and bills of materials.
• Build, test, troubleshoot, and refine prototypes.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, and equipment maintenance activities.
• Operate TRAXyL equipment during customer installations and field deployments.
• Conduct equipment testing, inspections, and quality evaluations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in shop and field environments.
• Document findings and recommend product improvements.
• Train and support customers and field crews as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams to improve products and processes.
