TraXtion is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and prototype mechanical systems for automotive technology products. The role focuses on translating product requirements into robust, manufacturable designs and supporting projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with CAD, prototyping, testing, and collaboration with electrical and embedded teams, to deliver reliable mechanical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with mechanical product design and development.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and components based on product requirements.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop and test prototypes using CAD, 3D printing, machining, and assembly.
• Support design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/ DFA) principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, embedded, product owner) to integrate systems.
• Provide technical documentation and engineering records throughout development and production.
• Support production and engineering teams during transition from prototype to production.
