Job summary

ConstructionExecs is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead field execution across multiple structural and miscellaneous steel projects. The role focuses on managing manpower, scheduling, safety, equipment, costs, and overall field performance, while guiding superintendents and union crews at active sites across New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in structural steel/erection, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural steel, steel erection, or closely related experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects, superintendents, or field teams.
• Strong knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel erection.
• Experience managing union labour.
• Knowledge of cranes, rigging, equipment, and erection logistics.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, manpower planning, job costing, and change orders.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

The Opportunity

ConstructionExecs is partnering with an established structural steel contractor to identify an experienced Field Operations Manager to lead field execution across multiple structural and miscellaneous steel projects. This is not simply a project management role. We are looking for a proven steel professional who can lead superintendents and union crews while maintaining control of manpower, scheduling, safety, equipment, costs, and overall field performance.

The position combines field leadership, project management, and operational responsibility and offers an opportunity to become a key leader within the organization.

The position supports projects throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania and requires regular travel to active job sites.
