Job summary

RXO Inc. in Olive Branch, Mississippi, seeks a Field Operations Manager to lead a high-volume, cross-functional operation across warehouse, transportation, customer, and carrier teams. You will coordinate with multiple functions to drive performance and standardize processes in a 24x5 environment.

Qualifications include at least 5 years in logistics or complex operations, strong stakeholder influence, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a complex, high-volume operation across multiple functions, establishing countermeasures and improvement plans to meet customer KPIs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to own, track progress, resolve dependencies, and drive timely corrective actions.
• Monitor transportation teams against KPIs and implement recovery plans as needed.
• Work with 3rd party warehouse and transportation activities in a 24x5 operating environment, coordinating responses to disruptions and continuity events.
• Develop and maintain standardized work procedures aligning customer requirements with 3PL execution.

We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.As a Field Operations Manager at RXO, you’ll lead a large, complex, cross-functional operation spanning third-party logistics, warehouse, transportation, customer, and carrier teams. You’ll serve as a central point of coordination, aligning stakeholders, driving operational performance, and ensuring consistent execution against customer objectives. **What your day-to-day will look like:*** Lead a complex, high-volume operation across multiple functions, establishing countermeasures and improvement plans to ensure customer KPIs are achieved and sustained.* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish ownership, track progress, resolve dependencies, and drive timely execution of corrective actions.* Monitor, analyze, and evaluate transportation teams against key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, escalating risks and implementing recovery plans as needed.* Work with 3rd party warehouse and transportation activities in a 24x5 operating environment, coordinating response to operational disruptions, natural disasters, shutdowns, and business continuity events.* Develop, implement, and maintain standardized work procedures that align customer requirements with 3PL execution across the operation.* Partner with cross functional leaders to develop strategies for continuous improvement, operational efficiency, service performance, and cost reduction.* Establish clear operating rhythms, accountability, and communication across internal teams, customers, carriers, and third-party partners to support an integrated end-to-end operation. **At a minimum, you’ll need:*** 5 years of logistics, transportation, or complex operations experience.* Demonstrated experience leading across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders without direct reporting relationships.* Strong group presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels and with external partners.* Strong proficiency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. **It’d be great if you also have:*** Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field.* Experience in the automotive industry.* Experience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder operations with responsibility for performance, cost, continuous improvement, and operational continuity.**Does this sound like you?
