Job Description:

A leading waste management company in the New Jersey area is seeking a NIGHT SHIFT Field Operations Manager to oversee operations in the New York City market. This role involves managing three major depots located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Jersey City, with oversight extending to Manhattan. While you can have an office at any of these locations, the majority of your responsibilities will be conducted in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the performance of 20+ route supervisors who ensure driver and community safety while adhering to DOT standards and regulations.
• Assist route supervisors in determining corrective actions, conducting investigation write-ups, and providing in-field training to drivers.
• Ensure safety is the top priority in all operations.
• Manage operations during the night shift, as 90% of commercial pickups in NYC occur from evening to early morning hours.
• This is a fully onsite/on-the-road position.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of management experience.
• Experience working in waste management.
• Strong understanding and experience with DOT standards and regulations.
• Experience as a driver or in overseeing drivers.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
• DOT certifications.
