The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, decisive leader who can take ownership of field execution as our Field Operations Manager. You’ll lead real-time dispatch during snow events, monitoring routes, coordinating with operators by radio, and making decisions as conditions change – while ensuring delivery of safe, consistent, high-quality service across all properties. This role is primarily based in a dispatch setting during storms, with field involvement as needed to support operators, troubleshoot issues, or step in directly.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead real-time dispatch execution within General Manager defined plans, including coordination, prioritization, and problem solving during snow events
  • Resolve field issues in real time and follow up on misses to maintain consistent service quality, escalating recurring issues to the General Manager
  • Ensure equipment readiness and uptime before, during, and after snow events
  • Lead operator field training and readiness throughout the season
  • Provide in-field coaching and support during dispatches
  • Review operator notes post-dispatch and follow up on issues
  • Coordinate with city operators and external partners
  • Complete one-time clearings as needed
  • Support client quoting and onboarding through field input and system setup
Season Snapshot
  • Oct-Nov (Preseason | Mostly Days): Support quoting, assist with hiring and training operators, ensure equipment and field readiness
  • Dec-Mar (In Season | Overnights): Lead dispatch, coordinate operators, solve problems in real time while maintaining marker placement, and equipment readiness
  • Apr-May (Postseason | Days): Oversee equipment storage, marker removal, and season wrap-up
What You Need
  • Availability for on-call work November-April, including overnight, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to make clear, timely decisions in high-pressure, real-time situations
  • Proven ability to learn and reliably use mobile dispatch tools and our client management systems
  • Working knowledge of equipment with basic troubleshooting capability
  • Willing and able to work extended hours outdoors in active winter storm conditions
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable winter transportation
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Helpful Experience (Not Required)
  • Experience in operations, snow removal, logistics, or team leadership
Compensation & Benefits
  • $35,000-$45,000 for the 8-month season, with flexibility for higher compensation based on experience and capability
  • Paid biweekly, with performance-based bonus tied to execution, team performance, and service quality.
  • Flexible PTO around storms
  • Paid sick leave
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Driveway clearing (or transferable benefit)
