Job summary

Martin Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee field operations across multiple projects in the Nashville, TN; Kennesaw, GA; and Mobile, AL markets. You will lead field teams, drive safety, quality, productivity, and project execution while partnering with operations leadership to stay on schedule and within budget.

The role demands strong leadership, frontline problem-solving, and the ability to build durable relationships with General Contractors,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Superintendent on commercial/industrial/concrete projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and field ops.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and documents.
• Proven track record managing multiple projects and field teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations with safety, production, quality, manpower, and project execution across multiple jobsites.
• Partner with Superintendents, PMs, and Operations leadership to keep projects on schedule and budget.
• Monitor labor productivity, job costs, equipment utilization, and material management.
• Coordinate manpower needs across projects and allocate resources as needed.
• Work with Safety Director to reinforce safety culture and compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits, safety observations, and operational reviews for improvements.
• Develop relationships with General Contractors, clients, vendors and stakeholders.
• Support preconstruction planning, pre-pour meetings, and kickoff meetings.
• Mentor Superintendents and develop future leaders.
• Serve as primary problem solver for field issues impacting performance.
