Job summary

EM Energy Services is seeking an experienced, licensed electrician to lead field execution across solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging, and LED retrofit projects. The role is based in Leawood, KS with 75–80% travel to project sites across the central United States, including extended stays.

You will oversee crews, ensure NEC/AHJ compliance and safety, and work to deliver projects on time while shaping field practices as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Active electrician's license (Journeyman or higher).
• Willingness to travel 75–80% of the time, including extended stays.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 within 30 days of hire (if not already held).
• Willingness to pursue NABCEP Board Certification pathway.
• Willingness to obtain multi-state electrical licensure as needed.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site solar PV, BESS, EV charging, and LED retrofit installations from mobilization to close-out.
• Supervise internal staff and temporary labor on active sites.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, AHJ, and company safety standards.
• Coordinate scheduling, materials, and crew logistics across sites.
• Serve as on-site technical authority for electrical, PV, and BESS issues.
