Job summary

Empower Home Services is seeking a Field Operations Lead to keep day-to-day installation and service operations running, splitting time between the office (70%) and field (30%). You will coordinate schedules, materials, permits, and customer updates while stepping into a working lead role in the field when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years in residential solar or electrical installation with at least 1 year as a crew lead.
• Hands-on scheduling, dispatch, or operations coordination experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurability per company policy.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Working knowledge of PV components, racking, and basic electrical work.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Jobflo or similar.
• Clear English communication with customers, crews, and inspectors.
• Able to read site plans and permit sets.
• Organized, flexible, and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation crews from the branch, including hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching.
• Coordinate permitting, inspection, scheduling, and warehouse activities.
• Manage employee timekeeping and time clock records for the branch.
• Update CRM daily with job progress and project status.
• Assist with managing local vehicle fleet and safety meetings.
• Lead field work when scheduled: hands-on tasks and crew leadership.
• Fill in as installer or electrical helper when staffing is short.
• Respond to service/warranty calls and document findings.
• Maintain daily/weekly install/service/site schedule and materials.
• Ensure jobs stay on time and crews have needed resources.
• Record time worked, drive time, and breaks; enforce safety rules.
• Maintain client and coworker relationships with a positive attitude.
