Job summary

Black Hill Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Operations Manager to oversee six field crews serving residential, HOA, commercial, and municipal properties in the Fort Worth area. You will own scheduling, crew performance, quality, and job costing across service lines with a focus on building repeatable systems that run with minimal owner involvement.

You will supervise six crews, work alongside our mechanic, and ensure downtime is minimized while maintaining high standards and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in green industry operations with at least 3 years managing multiple crews.
• Experience in maintenance routing, scheduling, and quality standards for recurring accounts.
• Experience building or implementing a job costing or production tracking system.
• Spanish-speaking ability; Texas driver license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and routing: Build weekly schedules that minimize drive time and adapt to weather, callbacks, and timelines.
• Quality control: Verify finished work matches scope, site is clean, and client is satisfied before demobilization.
• Crew leadership: Hire, train, and develop crew leaders; manage performance and build bench strength.
• Job costing: Track estimated vs actual hours and materials; identify profitable properties and crews.
• Billing readiness: Confirm job completion and flag change orders before invoices.
• Equipment coordination: Inform mechanic of issues and schedule downtime to prevent downtime.
• Safety: Conduct tailgate meetings and manage incident response.
• Client escalations: Be the point of contact to resolve issues on site.
• Documentation: Convert knowledge into writeable procedures.
