Leopardo Construction is seeking Field Engineer Interns for next summer to support project management, estimating and field operations. The internship includes hands-on training and exposure to real project activities across multiple disciplines.

The role involves monitoring schedules, reviewing submittals and RFIs, participating in meetings, maintaining logs, and assisting with on-site coordination. This paid internship offers practical experience in a leading construction firm.

Responsibilities

• Monitor master construction schedule and track critical dates.
• Review submittals, shop drawings and RFIs; maintain logs.
• Participate in pre, weekly, and post construction meetings.
• Maintain change order log and review weekly status.
• Prepare project completion closeout documents.
• Ensure filing and archiving systems are correctly set up.
• Review bid documents to create quantity take-offs and develop RFIs.
• Participate in jobsite walkthroughs to verify field conditions.
• Develop subcontract bidder list using PowerTools.
• Receive and analyze subcontractor bids against drawings/specs.
• Maintain daily logs; coordinate with subcontractors.
• Complete daily jobsite walk to review conditions and audits.
• Update construction documents on site and generate field documentation for LEED submission.
• Generate punch lists and follow up with subs.
• Interact with clients and owner's reps on site.
