Job summary

Amazon is seeking Operations Engineering Field Execution Interns for Spring 2027 (part-time, on-site) with potential full-time (12 weeks) in Summer 2027 across US fulfillment centers. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with requirements anticipated to be completed between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Currently reside within 50 miles of the position location.
• Available to work part-time (20 hours/week) during Spring 2027 on-site at assigned fulfillment center location
• Available to transition to full-time (40 hours/week) for a 12-week period during Summer 2027 (May/June 2027 - July/August 2027)
• Able to travel up to 80% to other fulfillment centers under construction and corporate offices across the United States during summer months as needed

Responsibilities

• Drive resolution for an intern project by owning and deep diving data to support a process improvement recommendation
• Support management, design, and implementation of medium scope integrated automation projects with system elements such as high-speed sortation, multiple conveyors, package lines, and/or robotic work cells
• Guide and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout
• Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing
• Direct system commissioning and predefined testing activities, including administering the plan, interpreting statuses and reporting results
• Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment
• Thoroughly document/investigate FC change requests and provide recommendations
• Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures relating to material handling, processing and storage
