Job summary

Columbus Clingstones is seeking an Assistant, Field Operations to help prepare and maintain Synovus Park for home games and events. This hands-on role offers exposure to professional baseball turf management, including field maintenance, agronomic practices, and irrigation systems.

The ideal candidate is passionate about sports turf, eager to learn, and ready to advance within Minor League Baseball groundskeeping.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience managing collegiate or professional baseball grounds preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in field maintenance at Synovus Park.
• Assist in game day and event preparations at Synovus Park.
• Support irrigation system maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with tarp management and mound prep.
• Assist in facilitating on-field events and large scale outside events.
