Job summary

McGill University’s Macdonald Campus Farm/Horticulture Centre is seeking a part-time worker to support general farm duties including land preparation, seeding, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting.

Responsibilities also include rock picking, tractor assistance, sales at Mac Market, and data collection from research plots, with English language requirements and status under AMUSE collective agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with minimal or no related experience.
• Horticulture-related experience is an asset.
• Driver's license is an asset.

Hiring Unit:

Macdonald Campus Farm/Horticulture Centre

Position Summary:

General farm duties including land preparation, rock picking, seeding, transplanting, pruning, hoeing, some tractor work, harvesting fruits and vegetables, sales at Mac Market counter, data collection from research plots and all other duties assigned by the Chief Horticulture Technician.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

Previous work in horticulture an asset

Driver's license an asset
