Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Office/Field Engineer to support the Project Engineer and Superintendent in planning and daily execution. You will help manage the project schedule, submittal approvals, timely delivery of materials, and budget tracking on assigned tasks.

The role blends office and field work, including safety meetings, submittals, RFIs, cost analyses, payment requisitions, and coordination with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in civil/industrial construction or related field.
• S.B.S. in civil engineering, mechanical engineering or construction management preferred.
• Proficient with office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• CAD, HCSS HeavyJob and Primavera knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer and Superintendent with planning and daily execution of the project.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate submittals and RFIs, and manage payment requisitions.
• Procurement of materials and subcontractor scheduling/coordination.
• Oversee field work quality and safety meetings (including night work).
• Use critical path logic to schedule activities and coordinate third-party outreach.
