Job summary

Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) seeks a Field Office Information Systems Security Manager in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on developing and implementing security protocols to safeguard information systems, monitoring performance, auditing security, and guiding best practices to ensure system integrity.

The ISSM also serves as assistant security officer for field operations and coordinates with government sponsors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in information systems security or a related field.
• Possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with RMF to achieve ATO.
• Experience managing compliance for SIPRNet, JWICS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security protocols for Field Office information systems.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular security audits and assessments.
• Provide expert guidance on information systems security and liaise with government customers and sponsors.
• Investigate security incidents and propose corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain documentation of security procedures and incidents for audits.
• Train Field Office personnel on information systems security policies and procedures.
• Stay current on developments in information systems security through professional development.
• Provide detailed reports on security status and incidents to senior management.
• Collaborate with IT departments to integrate security measures into new information systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
