Job summary

Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. in Memphis is seeking a Field Networks Engineer to design, implement, and support a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises Hyper-V and AWS environments. This hands-on role emphasizes virtualization, cloud, and end-user support.

You will manage Hyper-V clusters, live migrations, and cross-site replication, while hardening Windows and Linux servers, and building out AWS services. Travel ~10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of infrastructure engineering or systems administration experience.
• Hands-on Hyper‑V experience with clustering, live migration, and replication.
• Strong AWS experience with EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and support hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and AWS environments.
• Administer Microsoft Hyper‑V hosts, clusters, live migration, VMs, and cross‑site replication.
• Support Windows Server and Linux workloads, including patching, hardening, and scripting.
• Build and manage AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC.
• Manage firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPNs.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, validate restores, and document recovery procedures.
• Apply security best practices across servers, endpoints, networks, and cloud resources.
• Help improve infrastructure scalability, redundancy, availability, and resilience.
• Provide Tier 2/3 escalation and onsite Helpdesk support for Houston users.
• Travel to other locations as needed (~10%).

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $59.90 - $64.90 per hour.
