Job summary

SAUR in Brewster, MA is seeking a Mobile Wastewater Operator to monitor and operate wastewater facilities, collect samples, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a MA Grade 3M license, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work weekends and be on-call.

You will perform routine testing, record keeping, and preventative maintenance while adhering to EH&S policies and maintaining client and regulatory communications. Training on site will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of wastewater experience preferred but not required.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Overtime as required.
• 24 hour on-call rotation.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• MA Grade 3M-7C Full Status Wastewater license.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
• Title 5 Septic Inspectors License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure permit compliance.
• Collect and record data and wastewater samples from assigned facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment per manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of all operations and maintenance.
• Assist in monthly operating reports for client/regulators.
• Communicate plant issues to Supervisor promptly.
• Work in a 24-hour on-call rotation and on weekends/holidays.
