Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth in the West is seeking a Mobile Truck Technician / Mechanic to service medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks at customer locations. This swing shift role focuses on repairs performed in the field to maximize uptime and reliability.

You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs or rebuilds, maintain trucks, and adhere to safety and quality standards. The position requires at least 3 years of experience, valid Class A CDL preferred, and own tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
• Engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC, and chassis repair.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred.
• Must provide own tools and have a valid driver's license (Class A CDL preferred).
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck malfunctions or system failures in the field.
• Repair or rebuild components including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Maintain and service trucks to maximize uptime and safety.
• Work in customer locations, delivering high-quality workmanship the first time.
• Operate with sound judgment and attention to safety and quality standards.
