Miles Sand & Gravel Company is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Plant Mechanic in Bremerton, WA to maintain and repair batch plants and related equipment. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, welding skills, and ability to work safely in dusty environments and at heights.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of industrial mechanical experience, a Washington driver’s license, and a reliable, team-oriented work ethic. Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of mechanical experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
• Ability to travel to company locations throughout King, Pierce, Thurston, Mason, Kitsap, and Jefferson Counties.

Responsabilités

• Maintain knowledge of aggregate and concrete batch plant operations and troubleshoot/repair equipment.
• Maintain inventory and order parts for timely repairs.
• Be proficient in arc welding and oxy-acetylene cutting or willingness to learn.
• Fabricate components using steel and other materials.
• Work with 120/240/480-volt electrical systems and basic plumbing.
• Operate loaders, backhoes, man lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform work at heights with fall protection and in confined spaces.
• Wear a full-face respirator in dusty environments.
• Follow safety rules and PPE; promote a safe workplace.
• Occasionally work after hours, including some Saturdays.
