Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Plant Mechanic to safely repair and maintain mining and aggregate processing equipment, including crushers and conveyors. The role requires pre/post-shift inspections, daily documentation, and supporting plant operations as needed.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, lubrication, component replacements, and assisting with rebuilds. Candidate must have 2–5+ years of plant mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform inspections and diagnostics on plant equipment.
• Comfort with operating and maintaining heavy equipment in an aggregate facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and mechanical inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, and other plant equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication, fluid changes, belt adjustments, and inspections.
• Replace bearings, rollers, pumps, motors, hoses, cylinders, and structural components as needed.
• Assist with plant rebuilds, relocations, and major shutdown maintenance.
• Complete detailed maintenance logs and work orders.
