Travel typically 60%, using laser trackers and metrology software to collect data and generate reports. A 1–2 year engineering background with strong 3D modeling and a willingness to learn specialized equipment is preferred. Position is in the United States, with relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of engineering experience welcomed.
• Strong 3D modeling experience and ability to work with 3D models.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs and GD&T requirements.
• Hands-on, mechanical aptitude, willingness to travel (~60%).
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication of technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser trackers, laser scanners and other precision metrology equipment to collect dimensional and alignment data.
• Perform dimensional inspections, equipment alignments and geometric measurements as required.
• Diagnose mechanical and alignment issues and support corrective actions.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to determine measurement criteria and acceptance.
• Analyze data and prepare technical service reports with 3D models and results.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause investigations related to manufacturing and field performance.
• Provide customer training on measurement methods and metrology equipment.
