Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two years of experience in basic mechanical maintenance and repair of meters and related equipment with some experience in purchasing and inventory management.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Louisiana driver’s license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and test meters and regulators; disassemble, clean and paint meters and regulators; perform flow tests and calibrations.
• Respond to service calls and customer inquiries in the field; locate and repair leaks and replace meters and associated equipment.
• Picks up malfunctioning meters and regulators; installs new and repaired meters; maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
