Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Field Meter Reader in Jamestown, CA to visit customer sites and accurately record meter readings using handheld devices. You will drive a company vehicle within an assigned territory and submit readings for processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic MS Office skills. Outdoor work is expected in all weather and conditions; propane industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills are required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
• Experience in the propane industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites in an assigned territory using a company vehicle.
• Record meter readings manually or with an electronic handheld device and submit readings.
• Complete approximately 350 meter reads per week.
