Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Field Meter Reader to travel within an assigned territory using a company vehicle and record meter numbers accurately. You will submit readings for processing, aiming for roughly 350 reads weekly in all weather conditions.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Prior propane industry experience is a plus. This role is based in Jamestown, NY with benefits and on-site work requirements.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company vehicle to travel to customer sites within an assigned territory.
• Record meter readings accurately, manually or via electronic handheld device.
• Submit collected readings for processing; complete ~350 reads per week.
