Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Field Meter Reader in Jamestown, CA to visit customer sites and accurately record meter readings using handheld devices. You will drive a company vehicle within an assigned territory and submit readings for processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic MS Office skills. Outdoor work is expected in all weather and conditions; propane industry experience is a plus.

Job Summary

The Field Meter Reader is responsible for using a company vehicle to travel to customer sites in an assigned territory and accurately record the numbers from the meter manually or via electronic handheld device and turn in the collected readings (for processing). The Field Meter Reader is expected to complete approximately 350 meter reads per week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic Microsoft Office skills required
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions

Education and Experience Required

• Experience in the propane Industry a plus

The pay for this position ranges from $ 18.00 to $ 18.00 , depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
