Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) seeks a Retail Merchandiser to provide consistent service at a designated customer location, stocking and merchandising products, supporting resets, and executing programs across accounts.

Responsibilities include planogram implementation, field visits, stock rotation, report interpretation, and driving sales through promotional merchandising while maintaining strong customer relations. Travel and on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Auto Insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms in store. Adjust sections as needed and report planogram issues.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program on schedule; provide feedback and follow-up; follow HACCP/SQF policies.
• Rotate stock and remove out-of-code products; process merchandise returns and credits per policy.
• Interpret and utilize internal reports; complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through merchandising; promote promotions and customer requests.
• Maintain strong business relationships with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email.
• Order products aligned with customer needs and display them; hang shelf tags and POS materials.
• Develop action plans with help from supervisor/account manager; meet deadlines within budget.
• Engage customers about the Professional Services Portfolio to strengthen UNFI relationships.
