Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to educate prescribers and health-system leaders within an assigned US territory, including NYC and parts of New Jersey. This field-based role requires building relationships with key opinion leaders to support strategic initiatives and insights generation.

The position involves up to 60% travel, occasional weekends for scientific meetings, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop evidence-based engagement content and presentations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant health professions/sciences or related field or a Bachelor’s with 4+ years field-based medical affairs experience.
• At least 5 years of industry experience in healthcare or medical technology with Medical Affairs or similar.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand and communicate clinical data relevant to screening products and HEOR information.
• Educate health systems, population health leaders, and medical professionals to support decisions.
• Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers and leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engagement tactics with brand strategy.
• Develop content for scientific engagement for marketed and pipeline products.
• Support national and regional medical conferences with scientific exchange.
• Provide market trend insights and identify key opinion leaders.
• Cultivate relationships with decision makers in health systems and professional societies.
