What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cardiovascular Utilization Management Reviewer (Interventional Cardiologist), you'll leverage your expertise to review cardiovascular cases, ensuring high-value, evidence-based care. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert reviews for invasive/interventional cardiology cases, such as cardiac catheterizations, interventions, and device procedures.
• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with providers to ensure appropriate, high-value care.
• Collaborate with leadership and clinical staff on complex cases.
• Guide Initial Clinical Reviewers and support decision-making.
• Document communication and clinical rationale for reviews and appeals.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and policies, including URAC and NCQA standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and research activities as needed.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS with current, unrestricted license.
• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology or equivalent credentials.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cardiology preferred.
• Strong clinical, management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and medical review guidelines.
• No current exclusions or sanctions from healthcare programs.

Technical Requirements

Reliable high-speed internet (over 10 Mbps) and direct connection to the home router are required.
