Job summary

Singularity Defense Corp. seeks a Field Testing Technician (Mechanical Design Focus) to support the setup, execution, and teardown of product test campaigns and field operations.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable with complex hardware, and able to troubleshoot in fast-moving field environments. You will work outdoors, travel to remote test locations, and collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and test teams to ensure safety, reliability, and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a hands-on technical role involving testing, maintenance, assembly, or field operations.
• Experience with CAD modeling using SolidWorks or equivalents.
• Experience building and operating test rigs and fixtures.
• Ability to follow procedures, drawings, and instructions.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, or integrated systems.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors at test sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, setup, execute, and teardown field test campaigns.
• Assemble and operate test equipment per plans and engineering direction.
• Perform pre-test inspections and functional checks.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting hardware issues.
• Maintain field equipment, tools, and records of configurations and results.
• Coordinate logistics, inventory, and safety at test sites.
• Provide feedback to improve hardware and test procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams throughout campaigns.
