Engineering Economics, Inc. (EEI) is seeking a Mechanical Support for its Mission Critical team to help commission, test, and document mechanical systems in data centers and high‑reliability facilities.

You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands‑on exposure to HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, and controls integration in a field‑heavy role. This position fits developing technical professionals, recent graduates, field technicians, or building operators who are eager

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical systems or facilities operations, commissioning, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings with guidance.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and teamwork mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to field‑based work in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems for mission‑critical facilities.
• Participate in field observations, startup support, and functional testing with experienced staff.
• Gather field data, photos, notes, and system information to support documentation and issue tracking.
• Support project teams with coordination, site readiness, testing prep, and clear communication.
• Build knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, and controls integration.
• Maintain project records, test forms, and deliverables to support project outcomes.
• Follow safety expectations and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
