Job summary

EEI is seeking a Mechanical Support candidate to assist in commissioning and testing of mission-critical facilities. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure to HVAC, chilled water, and controls integration while documenting field data and supporting project closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure in mechanical systems, facilities operations, commissioning, construction, engineering, maintenance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and facility systems with willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and system information with guidance.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems supporting mission-critical facilities and data centers.
• Participate in field observations, startup support, and functional testing with experienced staff.
• Gather field data, photos, notes, and system information to support documentation and project closeout.
• Support project teams with coordination, site readiness, testing preparation, and clear communication across stakeholders.
• Build knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure, controls integration, and commissioning best practices.
• Maintain accurate project records, test forms, issue logs, and deliverables for project success.
• Follow safety expectations and contribute to a collaborative People First environment.
