Job summary

EEI is seeking a Mechanical Specialist to independently perform commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of mechanical systems supporting data centers and other high‑reliability facilities. You will own field activities, support performance testing, and help move systems through startup, testing, and closeout in a hybrid field/office setting.

The role requires hands‑on mechanical work, strong collaboration with project teams, and up to 75% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical systems or facilities operations.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, startup, and documentation.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, testing, and verification for mechanical systems in mission‑critical facilities.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and coordinate with teams and contractors.
• Coordinate field activities, testing, and project documentation.
• Review drawings and specs to validate installation readiness.
• Communicate status and findings to clients and internal teams.
