A leading engineering firm is seeking a field-focused Mechanical Engineer in New York to create and maintain installation and commissioning procedures for various power and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 4 years of experience or equivalent field experience. Successful candidates will ensure compliance with industry codes, collaborate with field teams, and provide clear technical guidance, all while supporting field execution of equipment operations.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, or 8+ years of relevant field experience.
Background in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, EPC, Powerplant, or Renewables environments.
Hands-on experience with shaft alignment and rotating equipment.
Responsibilities
Create, revise, and update installation and commissioning procedures.
Review and interpret P&IDs, single-line diagrams, schematics.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards like ASME, ISO, and OSHA.
