Job summary

BLS Electrical Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Insulator to install, maintain, and repair insulation on pipes, tanks, and equipment in the oil and gas sector.

You will help prevent heat loss, improve energy efficiency, and protect personnel from hazardous temperatures. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, fitting insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, and mineral wool, inspecting systems, and following strict PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Understanding of insulation materials and installation techniques.
• Meticulous approach to identifying issues and solutions.
• Experience working in challenging environments including extreme temperatures and heights.
• Clear verbal and written communication; collaborates with colleagues and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials on pipes, vessels, and equipment.
• Inspect insulation systems and perform repairs or replacements to maintain performance.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE at all times.
• Choose insulation materials based on temperature, environment, and application requirements.
• Maintain records of insulation work and materials used.
• Work with engineers, construction teams, and other trades to meet project specs.
